SUNYCAP Nominations/Elections Committee

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Nominations and Elections Committee is to: conduct an impartial and unbiased electoral process; facilitate the growth of SUNYCAP by encouraging members to become more actively involved; foster diversity by involving the membership in nominating and electing qualified individuals to the various positions on the Executive Committee. 

Nominations/Elections Procedure Statement:

The Nominations and Elections Committee solicits nominations and conducts the electoral process that elects members to the SUNYCAP Executive Committee.  Each spring the committee requests from the membership nominations for President-Elect and all vacant Executive Committee positions.   In accordance to the By-Laws, the committee ensures all nominees are eligible to run for their nominated position(s).  Candidates are notified of their nomination and the election ballot is formed as acceptances are received.  Each SUNYCAP member is encouraged to cast their vote as every member receives the official election ballot.  At the annual conference, the committee tallies the votes and announces the election results at the business meeting.
